Minister for MSME Shri Kalraj Mishra has said that there is tremendous scope for joint collaborations in the fields of skill development, technology up-gradation and market linkages, especially for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). He was addressing the inaugural of the India Pavilion at the IGA Royal Perth Show 2014 “India has a vast reservoir of small and medium enterprises which contribute nearly 8 per cent to the country’s GDP, constitute 45 per cent of the manufacturing output and 40 per cent of the exports. Such enterprises have huge energy demand for their sustainable development and for the growth of the economy”, said the Minister.
Emphasizing that India’s presence at the premier IGA Royal Perth Show presents a show window of India’s capabilities in addressing the requirements of the Australian market, the Minister assured that India’s participation will open the door to a world of business.
At the IGA Royal Perth Show, the products related to tourism, education, handicrafts, garments, home textiles, organic clothes, leather products, gem and jewellery, artifacts, cosmetics, tea, candles, fragrance and perfume etc. are being showcased. Participation Show is expected to help India to showcase its strengths and expand trade and investment ties.
